What project logistics involves
Project logistics is freight forwarding for cargo that doesn't fit a standard container: industrial equipment, heavy machinery, breakbulk, and out-of-gauge pieces that need specialty equipment, permits, and careful routing. There is no standard playbook — each move is planned from the cargo's dimensions and weight outward.
Conveyco coordinates the full sequence: route surveys and feasibility analysis, equipment selection (flat rack, open top, breakbulk vessel, heavy-haul truck), permits and route approvals, escort coordination where required, and the handoffs between ocean, rail, and road. As a licensed NVOCC we control the international ocean leg ourselves, which matters most on exactly these moves — where a missed connection can idle a crane crew.
We plan and manage project cargo from our Burnsville, Minnesota headquarters for shippers across the Upper Midwest and beyond — including renewable energy components, agricultural machinery, and plant equipment.
