Transload Services — Keep Cargo Moving Between Modes
Container-to-truck, truck-to-container, and rail transfers — coordinated nationwide through our partner network and at our own Burnsville, Minnesota facility.
What a transload is — and what it saves you
A transload transfers freight from one piece of transportation equipment to another — most commonly out of an ocean container and onto domestic trucks, or the reverse. The point is to keep cargo moving without long-term storage: the container goes back to the port before per diem and detention charges pile up, and the freight continues inland on equipment better suited to domestic lanes.
For imports, transloading lets you deconsolidate a container and distribute regionally on domestic trailers. For exports, we consolidate inbound freight from multiple origins into ocean containers staged and ready for the port. Conveyco coordinates transload services at virtually any U.S. port, rail ramp, or inland point through our partner network — and handles them directly at our own facility in Burnsville, Minnesota, in the Minneapolis–St. Paul metro.

Why transload with Conveyco
A transload only saves money if the timing works — the dray, the dock, and the outbound truck all have to line up. Because Conveyco coordinates the ocean freight, drayage, and trucking around the transload, it's scheduled against the rest of the move, not booked in isolation.
If your cargo needs to sit for a bit rather than transfer straight through, our Burnsville facility also offers short-term warehousing — same dock, same team.
